09:30 - 15:00 (CET)

Convened by the Global Forum on Farm Policy Innovation (GFFPI), this workshop will be focused on “What characteristics make agricultural policy durable, adaptive and capable of delivering long-term outcomes across political and market cycles?”. It will bring together senior representatives from OECD member governments, international organisations, industry and civil society to identify practical principles that can inform future policy development and international collaboration.

Building on discussions convened in Paris, Brussels, Washington DC, Ottawa, and Sydney over the past three years, this workshop will move beyond identifying examples of good practice to examine why some approaches endure while others do not. It will explore the policy settings, governance arrangements and partnership models that enable governments, industry and civil society to work together to deliver long-term outcomes.

The event will be organised by the GFFPI in conjunction with the Permanent Representatives of Australia, the Netherlands to the OECD, and with the support of the OECD Trade and Agriculture Directorate.

GFFPI members are the Australian Farm Institute, the Canadian Agri-Food Policy Institute, the Farm Foundation and the Forum for the Future of Agriculture.

This event is by invitation only.
