Unlocking Innovation: Start-Ups Voice: Promoting stronger ecosystem services through agriculture and forestry. How to sustainably manage natural resources?

After the success of the first start-up session during its annual conference in March 2022, the Forum for the Future of Agriculture continued the dialogue in the annual conference of March 2023.

During this online pre-forum session, start-ups discussed their approach to the challenges of natural resources management for sustainable supply chains in agriculture and forestry. From the planning, production and delivery of natural resources such as food or wood, the impact on ecosystems therefore needs be assessed and measured to avoid, limit, or compensate negative externalities. On the other hand, innovation aiming to optimize our use of natural resources or enhancing their ecosystem services should be endorsed.

This session focused on how these small companies are innovating to answer the call for sustainable management of natural resources to promote stronger ecosystem services in the agriculture and forestry sectors.
