Ranveer is the Vice President, Product M365 Copilot and the Chief Technology Officer of Agri-Food at Microsoft. Previously, Dr. Chandra has held various leadership roles, including the Managing Director for Research for Industry, Chief Scientist of Microsoft Azure Global, and Head of Networking Research at Microsoft Research, Redmond.
Ranveer started the agriculture initiative at Microsoft in 2015. His work on FarmBeats became a product, Azure Data Manager for Agriculture, a platform that leverages cloud computing and AI to enable data-driven farming. Ranveer serves as the CTO of Agri-Food at Microsoft. Ranveer’s research, entrepreneurship, and leadership has had a significant impact on both Microsoft products and the broader scientific community.
He has contributed to the design and implementation of Cloud and AI platforms for Industry, low-power algorithms, energy profiling tools, XBOX One wireless controller protocol, data center networks, and white space networking technologies that have enhanced the Windows, Visual Studio, XBOX, and Azure.
Ranveer has an undergraduate degree from IIT Kharagpur, India and a PhD from Cornell University.
