This is an in-person event.
As EU climate initiatives like the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) and carbon farming gain momentum, the agricultural sector is at a crossroads: how do we balance environmental performance with economic competitiveness?
On 29 April, within the framework of the ESNI-NERM Conference in Brussels, the NutriBudget project will host a vital policy session exploring soil nutrient budgeting as a tool for climate policy. This workshop aims to bridge the gap between regulatory frameworks and the practical, cost-effective solutions farmers need to stay competitive.
An expert panel will explore nutrient management and carbon farming practices, discussing how policy tools can better support the agri-food value chain in adopting climate-friendly solutions.
Expert Speakers:
– Emmanuel Petel – Environmental Policy Coordinator, DG AGRI
– Mathieu Mal – Policy Officer for Agriculture and Climate, European Environmental Bureau
– Julia Tanzer – Technology and Innovation Consultant, Proman
