As Europe’s agri-food system faces the twin challenges of ensuring productivity and meeting ambitious sustainability goals, innovation in crop nutrition is emerging as a key driver of transformation. This interactive session, organized by the Forum for the Future of Agriculture in collaboration with Anglo America, will explore how innovations in fertilizers, bio-based inputs, digital tools, and regenerative practices can strengthen the resilience and sustainability of European farming.
This will be an open-ended discussion inviting active audience participation. Stakeholders from across the value chain, from policymakers and environmental experts to industry leaders and farmers, will engage directly in the conversation to exchange insights, challenges, and forward-looking ideas.
The dialogue will address how Europe’s “toolbox of innovative solutions” can help tackle problems such as:
● Support the green actions and decarbonization of agriculture.
● Strengthen the security and sustainability of nutrient supply chains in Europe
● Improve the efficiency and environmental performance of agricultural inputs.
● Enable farmers and innovators to lead in sustainable productivity.
The event will start with keynote addresses from our MEP hosts and DG Agri, followed by a panel discussion centered around the guiding question of ‘How can innovation in crop nutrition help drive the transition to a more sustainable and resilient agri-food system? After the panel the discussion will be taken to the floor allowing audience members to join in an open dialogue with our panelists.
Following the open dialogue, participants are invited to continue the exchange during a 30-minute networking session in the room – an opportunity to connect, share experiences, and explore potential collaborations around resilient and future-ready farming systems.
This dynamic session aims to build shared understanding and momentum for sustainable, competitive and resilient farming, empowering participants to help shape the next chapter of Europe’s agri-food transformation.
