The Forum is committed to helping build a more sustainable, climate smart and nature positive agri-food system and appreciate the progress made in the Strategic Dialogue on the future of EU agriculture announced today (September 4, 2024) by European Commission President, Ursula von der Leyen.

The vision reflects many elements of the Forum’s Call to Action, published in March 2023, and we believe that a renewed focus at the start of the Commission’s new mandate on food, agriculture, nature and the environment, which are inextricably linked, is necessary.

Together with our partners, we will reflect on the detailed recommendations of the Strategic Dialogue whilst continuing to explore the development and implementation of the necessary ideas and solutions which can realise the vision of a transformed agri-food system with farmers and land managers at its heart.
